I am Prince Henry

WHO AM I?

I was born in Genoa, Italy in 1450,

and I died in 1499.

My first voyage was

in 1487. My ship was

called “The

Matthew”.

I lived in Italy from

1476 to 1483. Then I

moved to England.

On my 1st voyage, I

explored either

Newfoundland, Canada or

Maine.

Nobody knows if I got

lost at sea or if I

returned to England

after my 2nd voyage.
