– Civil War started due to slavery and economic differences.

– Emancipation Proclamation freed more than 3 million slaves.

1865

– Civil War ended. Abraham Lincoln assassinated.

1898

– Spanish American War. Americans interfered in Cuban War.

Greatest Enemies

– Britain, Mexico, and Germany

– Britain because we had fought two wars in the past 4 decades and were great enemies until after the Civil War.

– Mexico because of the Mexican American War.

Greatest Ally

– France they helped in the revolution and we never fought between this time.

Influential Leaders

– Our greatest influential leader was Abraham Lincoln because he called for a change and fought the bloodiest war ever fought on American soil and ended slavery.

– Teddy Roosevelt was a good president and furthered our nation.

Government

– The United States has a mix of a Democracy and a Republic.

Power

– We gained power through the Industrial Revolution, and lost some and gained some power by the Civil War. We gained by uniting our country to be one, and lost power because of the lives that were lost .
