How to join Beta Alpha Psi

• Must be a declared Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Finance Major

• Must have taken 9 credit hours of Accounting which must include ACC 340

• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA

• Must Complete Organization Credits (provided next)

• Dues – Candidates - $85 – Members $30

How to join The Accounting Club

• Anyone can join (No GPA or Major requirement)

• Organization Credits (provided next)

• Dues – $30

• Candidate versus Membership requirements

Organization Credits

• 1 Committee Credit – active participation on 1

committee

• Fundraising Credits – selling the minimum

amount of each semester’s chosen fundraising

product OR through 1 hour of a fundraising

activity

Community Service Credits

Beta Alpha Psi

• 9 Credits Required

– Obtained by participating in

one hour of a particular

community service project

coordinated, suggested or

approved by the officers of the

organization

• 4 Credits Required

– Obtained by participating in

one hour of a particular

community service project

coordinated, suggested or

approved by the officers of the

organization

Activity Credits

Beta Alpha Psi

• 10 Activity Credits

– Each credit may be received

by attending an approved

organization event

• At least 1 Social Event

• At least 8 weekly Meetings

• 1 of choice: Social Event or

Wednesday Meeting

The Accounting Club

• 7 Activity Credits

– Each credit may be received

by attending an approved

organization event

• At least 1 Social Event

• At least 5 weekly Meetings

• 1 of choice: Social Event,

Wednesday Meeting, or Becker

Achievement Awards Offered

• Bronze Member Status– 6 additional community service hours (15 total)

• Silver Member Status– 11 additional community service hours (20 total)

• Gold Member Status– 16 additional community service hours (25 total)

Beta Alpha Psi and The Accounting Club have the option of awarding one outstanding member or candidate with the honor of Superior Member Status
