What is like to work and live in China?

Working • Teach in elite preschool and K-12 school systems- English - Social/natural sciences - Technologies - History - Other subjects

Depending on your expertise, working in collaboration with Chinese as well as faculty from other countries

Living • Salaries range from 1,200 to 1,500 USD per month for all the 12

months of each contract year• Additional income from extracurricular/extramural instructing and

tutoring, based on experience• Insurance and housing provided; optional stipend available upon

request if you choose to make your own housing arrangements• The cost of living in Shenzhen and Chengdu is roughly 1/3 to 1/5 of

that in the United States.

Exploring • Contract renewal and yearly rotational program allow for:- Options to explore cities of Shenzhen, Chengdu, each with its own

unique cultural heritage and traditions and natural scenic sites- The vastness of China and its proximity to Southeast Asia allows you

to explore not only regions of China but also places like Japan, Singapore and Korea.

What you need:

Must Have

Main Job Responsibilities • Teach English as well as other subjects in English to students in the

public and private preschools and K-12 school systems• Plan and deliver lessons using either Seadragon designed materials or

curricula certified by China’s Ministry of Education• Evaluate student progress and provide ongoing guidance and

coaching

Employment Package • Competitive salary based on the cost of living for the job location• Housing accommodation or a housing stipend• Paid winter vacation (approximately 30 days)• 11 days of paid national holidays• Medical and health insurance• Assistance to apply for a Z working visa• Airport pick-up upon arrival• Orientation and vocational training before starting, with free hotel accommodation• Paid part-time work available upon request• Free Mandarin Chinese lessons up to 10 hours• Networking and meet-up activities
