It can be funny

And obviously useful...

How this all works? (high-level)

Siri’s interpreter can examine a spoken query for syntax && keywords in order to trigger what it thinks is the most relevant web service

Request:'What is root of 5'Parse: matches mathematical requestAction: redirect to WA

Request:'What is weather in Kyiv'Parse: matches weather requestAction: redirect to Yahoo weather

Based on sematic search, Siri uses:● Wolfram|Alpha for general knowledge

questions; ● Yelp/Apple Maps for local search;● Yahoo for sports scores, weather, and

stocks;● Safari for web search;● the iPhone’s apps: Clock, Reminders,

Calendar, and Calculator;● Own database to answer similar stupid

questions

Siri is usually described as a voice recognition engine tied to a set of web services and linked apps.
