The single jersey cylinder knitting machine is one of the modern machine. It has one set of needle and another set sinker. But needle and sinkers have different cam system. Cam system is stationery and the cylinder with needles and sinkers are movable. The yarn feeder is over the m/c and stationary. The machine is negative feed system and has electric autostopper.

The single jersey machine is a plain fabric producer. At our Fabric Manufacturing Technology Lab we come in contact with the single jersey machine. Though the machine has some inefficiency, we tried to get the fundamental idea about Single Jersey Machine.
