THE AIM IS TO SHOW THE WAY,THIS CALLS THE HEARTS TO HILL

OF LIGHT!The aim is to creat such surroundings that let every child perfect him now

intellectually, now physically.

THE MAIN FACTS• There are 78 pupils at Grundzale Elementary

school.• There are 9 Forms. • There are 16 qualified teachers at school, our

head mistress is Mrs.Valda Elstina.• To graduate the school pupils need to pass 4

exams.• We are like a private school with state

finansing.

Preschool departmentTwo groups: kittens (1-4 years) and ladybirds (5-6 years old)3 teachers, 3 teacher’s assistents

• Average mark is 7,00 among pupils 4.-9.grade.• 1/3 of pupils participate in regional

olympiades.• In OECD research our school is at 29th place

among more than 300 schools

We are proud of our teachers

Our teachers are high qualified, eveybody has “added value” - they sing, dance, play theatre, volleyball, are bee keepers, fanatic orientierist

WE ARE PROUD OF our education of interests

We have a choir and 3 national folk dance groups. 66 pupils (totally in school is 77) participated in XI Pupils’Dance and Song Festival

Many pupils attend sport school, art school and music school in Smiltene.

Agnija Caune is a world champion in orientiering

We have our own skis. Pupils start skiing in preschool.

Project “Mammadaba” (“Mothernature”) – make birdhouses, plant trees

WE ARE PROUD OF our school board

Our parents made advent wreaths for every classroom

This year they helped to set up school radio;to draw paintings on the wall,to make hopscotch, to organize Activity Day

• Strengths – comunication among teachers is close, everybody knows everything,

• Weakness – not so many pupils, so not many works; prescribed and fixed curriculum

• Opportunities –• Threats – unclearness about intelectual output

and payment; differences between demands from NA and our accounting office
