Definition of rocks.•The aggregation of minerals called rocks.•Th water bearing rocks consist of unconsolidated or consolidated rocks.

Unconsolidated rocks.Loosely packed rocks (soil like) are called unconsolidated rocks.Ex: gravels ,sand.

Consolidated rocks.Tightly bounded rocks are called consolidated rocks.Ex: granite,limstone.

Bed rocks.Consolidated rocks welded by heats & pressure

The solid rock that underlies loose material, such as soil, sand, clay, or grave.

1.Primary opening of rocks.If the voids were formed at the same time as the rocks formed by volcano is called primary opening.

2.Secondary opening of rocksIf the voids were formed after the rocks was formed ,called secondary opening.•Fractures in consolidated sedimentary rocks,
