Frequency of activity measured on 5-point scale with 1=“never,” 2=“few times a year,” 3=“few times a month, 4=“few times a week,” 5=“daily.” Activity related confidence measured on 5-point scale with 1=“do not know how to use; not confident,” 2=“not confident, require assistance to use,” 3=“confident, can solve some problems, 4=“fairly confident, can use with no assistance,” 5=“very confident, can teach others how to use.” Italicized items are those identified as relevant to social constructivist online learning and fall below the “few times a month” threshold.
