Traditional Toys and Games

2-6 October 20131st Primary School of Pyrgos, Greece

On Monday, December 2nd 2013 we all gathered in the auditorium to talk about our mobility to Lithuania.

Mrs Athanasia Papadaki and her class, E1, were very excitedabout it!! They had been preparing for the presentation and were enthusiastic about showing their work to the whole school!!

They made a research about Lithuania and found information about the Lithuanian language, population, culture, sports and cuisine.

They learned everyday language and learned how to dance popular folk dances.

You can see them getting ready for the…big day!

….and learning Lithuanian dances!

When they were ready, they took their poster, a map and……

…and their enthusiasm and came to the auditorium

The pupils of our school wanted to know everything about this hospitable people!

They greeted the school saying Labas ritas , which, in Lithuanian, means Good morning or Καλημέρα in

Greek. All the pupils wanted to know about

the famous Lithuanian basketball players, the delicious food and yummy apples and the amazing Lithuanian landscape!

They had so much fun!

Dances and songs ! ! !They danced

“Hoira Hoira”The cup song, the Greek version

In Lithuania we watched a class perform the Cup song. We thought of doing the simple version of the Greek Cup Song.

We really enjoyed our Passport day for Lithuania

Viso gero!!!Γεια σας!!!!
