Project Ideas

What is Mole Day?

• The Mole is a measurement.

• It is Avagadro’s Number, 6.02x1023

• You can have a mole of chlorine, a mole of oxygen, a mole of anything!!!

When is Mole Day

• October 23 from 6:02am-6:02pm

• It is an official holiday celebrating chemistry and Amadeo Avagardo.

What do we do?

• Make a flag or banner.

• Make a T-shirt.

• Perform a song or skit.

Flags and Banners

• Made on something cloth, pillow case sized or larger.

• Decorate according to the various themes from past or present Mole Days.

• Use Avagadro’s Number, A Mole Character, References to Chemistry.

Shirts

• Same principal as the Flag.

• You will be graded and judged on neatness, originality, and creativity.

Songs and Skits

• Should be a minimum of 3 minutes in length.

• School appropriate. Words and actions should celebrate the ideas of chemistry, the mole, and Avagadro.

• Original songs, parodies, anything funny and unique!!!

Due Dates

• All projects must be submitted prior to October 22 for approval.

• October 23 projects will be presented during class.

• This will be a test grade!
