How to check out eBooks from the Library on a Kindle or Kindle App

1) Start at the Long Beach Public Library Downloads page. Click on eBooks, then click Search OverDrive.

2) Select “Find eBooks”.

2) Mouse over eBook Fiction or eBook Nonfiction on the left OR browse the New eBooks section at the top.

3) AdvancedSearch lets

youlimit results

toKindle

Bookswith copiesavailable.

4) Once youfind a title,

clickAdd toeBookBag

nextto Kindle

Book.

5) ClickProceed toCheckout.

Youwill need tosign in (if

youhaven’talready).

6) Verify the

lending period

for your book

(7 or 14 day

checkout).Click

ConfirmCheck Out.You may

haveup to 10

titlesout.

7) You’realmostdone!

Click Get for

Kindle.

8) Amazon.com

will open in a

new tab orwindow.

ClickGet librarybook.

9) Select your

Kindle ordevice withthe Kindle

Appfrom thedropdownmenu.

10) Kindle -download

viaWi-Fi (not

3G).
