Jason Freeny

INSIDE OUT, OUTSIDE IN

Have you ever played with this toy?

How about this one?

Have you ever wondered what they looked like on the inside?

Artist Jason Freeny has!

He makes a living imagining what your most popular toys would look like on the inside, if they were actually living creatures!

So this is how he sees

Mr. Potato Head.

And this is how he sees Hello Kitty.

The way Jason sees the world, even your favorite candy has a skeleton.

His mini sculptures are of

the famous cartoons and

toys we grew up

with.

Maybe you recognize this fella?

Maybe you’ve played with her before?

Freeny twists the outcome of his

subjects by making them look like old school 8th

grade science posters.

Even baby dolls have skeletons and organs.

He is inspired by video games.

TV Commercials

Cartoons

Children's Books

And popular movies

Seeing his work is like watching an actual hospital surgery or important experiment.

Jason Freeny was named "Break Through Artist" of 2011!

Jason lives and works in New York City, where he sells the toys he creates.

His latest toy is called the Brain Cube, a puzzle similar to the Rubik’s Cube.
