• PROBLEMS AT THE PRE TRAINING PHASE

• OVER ESTIMATION OF TRAINEES• DURATION OF EDPs• NON AVAILABILITY OF

INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITES• IMPROPER METHODOLOGY• MODE OF SELECTION• NON AVAILABILITY OF

COMPETENT FACULTY• POOR RESPONSE OF FINANCIAL

INSTITUTIONS.

SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE EDPs SUCCESSFUL

EMPHASIS ON STIMULATING , SUPPORTING AND SUSTAINING ACTIVITES MODEL BASED EDPs FOCUS ON ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION DESIGNING OF VIABLE PROJECTS SELECTION OF TRAINEES TRAINING IF TRAINERS ORGANISING PART TIME PROGRAMMES DURATION OF EDPs

TWO IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS EMERGED IN THE WORKSHOP ORGANISED BY CONFEDRATION OF ENGINEERING INDUSTRY AND THESE ARE:

i. Indian training pattern should be restructured which requires adoption of multi skilled concept.

ii. Modification of existing training programmes wherein maintenance aspect should be given much weightage , Entrepreneurial performance depends on knowledge , skill and ability and an effective EDP must aim at overall development of entrepreneurs for achieving the desired results.
