How to Download an eBook onto a non-Kindle eReader

1) Start at Wake County Public Libraries homepage, www.wakegov.com/libraries. Select link “Download Library”.

2)Select “Find eBooks”

3)Select “All Fiction” under “eBook Fiction.”

4) Select “Adobe EPUB eBook” from format filter.

5) Select “Available Now” for list of currently available titles.

6) Select a title to checkout.

7) Select “Borrow”.

8) Sign in with library card number and PIN. Select “Sign In”. (Tip: to avoid having to type out number each time, check “Remember my login information on this device”)

9) Select “go to Bookshelf”.

10) Select the download button, then check “EPUB eBook” in the dropdown and “Confirm & Download”.

11) At pop up window, open with Adobe Digital Editions, and select “OK”.

12) Adobe Digital Editions will open book. Connect eReader to computer & select “Library”. (This tutorial uses Adobe Digital Editions 2.0. Upgrade at www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions.html)

13) Notice Nook icon. (The Nook is used for this demonstration, but process is similar with other eReaders)

14) Drag image of book to Nook icon. Small plus sign (+) will appear when ready to load onto eReader.

15) After downloading, select Nook icon to see book in Nook library. Safely disconnect (as with a flash drive)
