Introduction:-A small,  portable computer small enough that it can sit on your lap. Nowadays, a computer laptop is more frequently called a notebook computer though technically laptops are somewhat larger in size than notebooks in both thickness and weight.

History of laptops:- The Dynabook :.  The idea for the Dynabook began as early as the 1960 . The first laptop was known as the Dynabook. It was invented in 1968 by Alan Kay .

The GRiD Compass :Bill Moggridge began its design in 1979 and finally released it in 1982. Pictures and features of the first non-clamshell laptops- the GRiD Compass are illustrated on this page.

Osborne 1 : In 1981, the Osborne Computer Corporation invented the first commercial portable computer. The name of this portable computer was Osborne 1.

Bondwell 2 : Bondwell 2 was produced in 1985. It used a Z-80 CPU running at 4 MHz, had 64 K RAM and, unusual for a CP/M machine, a 3.5" floppy disk drive built in.

Conclusion:-Buying a laptop for travel is a lot different than buying one for general use. Traits that normally would not matter, like the laptop’s weight and the size of its power adapter, become extremely important.
