Extended Writing

Why me?/What’s in it for me?

We are all responsible for delivering ‘language for learning’/ ‘literacy’ across the curriculum.

In addition, better literacy skills, of which extended writing is a part, result in better academic results in all subject areas.

Here to make life easier, not create more work.

The Booklet

The booklet provided outlines the following:

Some activities and word banks for use in lessons, relating to connectives. Before an activity? Stick in books?

Style guides for writing in different forms and for different purposes, with self and peer assessment boxes (will add a copy to Fronter).

An optional departmental audit

Example used in History lesson
