What is Elluminate Live (eLive)

Getting to ELive in Blackboard

There are 2 ways to opening ELive

Button or Communication link

Communication Link

When you click on the Communication link a new screen appears in the right hand side.

Click on the link Elluminate Live!

ELive Session

Clicking the button or the link will bring you to this page.

Click on the link for the session you are attending.

First time signing into ELive may several minutes to install the application.

If this dialog box appears select Unblock

Every time you sign in ELive it will take about 5 minutes to start up.

If this message appears select No.

This message indicates that ELive is in the process of opening.

Connection Speed

Select your Connection Speed

If you are using Dial-up select either 33.6 or 28.8 Kbps. If you have select 33.6 and you are having problems staying connected then select 28.8.

ParticipantsThis is the participant area your name will appear here when you sign in.

These icons are used to Raise HandHappy and Sad Face Help to communicate with the instructor and other students. When you need to step

away from the computer click on the door.

This area is used to chat with each other.Enter you message in the box and click send

Setting up your Headset

Click on the Tool menu barSelect AudioSelect Audio Setup Wizard

Select your Headset typeClick OK

Audio Setup (continues)

Click the Play button if you can hear the message. Click on the stop button

Click Yes and your headset audio is setup.

Microphone Setup

Select the MicrophoneClick OK

Click on the Record button and record a message. Click the Stop button
