USING DIGITAL TOOLS, DIGITAL CIRCLISM IS A MODERN ARTISTIC EXPRESSION, A MIX OF

POP ART AND POINTILLISM. ARTWORK CONSISTS OF THOUSANDS OF FLAT CIRCLES ON A BLACK BACKGROUND. THE CIRCLE ARE

IN A PATTERN TO FORM AN IMAGE.

GUIDELINES

8 ½ x 11 Art Board (Letter) Add a Black background. (1 Layer and Lock It) Find an image from the Internet to use as a

guide. Place image it into Illustrator. (2nd Layer and Lock

It) You may use an image of an animal or a person

you admire. The image MUST be of the person’s and/or

animal’s face. We are looking to create a portrait. Use a variety of circle colors and sizes to show

depth, light, perspective, color, space, proportion.
