LANGUAGE ARTS REFLECTION

by Danny.B

My favorite read-aloud is Under The Egg because I liked the idea of the book, which is stolen art being returned to its rightful owner. I liked the genre of the book, which is mystery.

I also liked the vocabulary because I could use it in other projects. Some of the words are stalag, Monuments Men, and heirloom.

My favorite 3 books I read independently this year are Legacy Of The Jedi by Jude Watson, Revan by Drew Krapshyn, and 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. I like Legacy Of The Jedi by Jude Watson because it tells the past about a lot of really interesting characters, it is Star Wars and I love Star Wars, and I like the genre, which is sci-fi. I like Revan by Drew Krapshyn because it talks about a time that most authors don't write about, it talks accurately about a really rare character, and I like books where every couple chapters it changes the perspective.

I like 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea because I like Jules Verne's books, I like idea of the book, which is traveling the world from under water, and the journey they make in the book, which is traveling around the world, and under Africa, and to the Arctic.

My favorite writing assignment this year was the March Mammal Madness/research because I liked researching the riverine rabbit. I thought it was an interesting animal and I liked making a picture of the riverine rabbit. I also liked writing about it.

I think the daily 3 helps us build stamina in reading, writing, and word work. I like the daily 3 because I can read a lot during daily 3. I can write a lot of stories during daily 3. I can play word work apps to help me expand my vocabulary.

I think being in a 1:1 iPad class is okay because it will save time and work. It sometimes also won't save or it will glitch, it will crash or freeze, and some apps aren't made for certain iPads.

My favorite job out of documentarian, blogger, and tweeter is documentarian. My favorite job is documentarian because I like photography.

The 3 norms of our class are attentive listening, mutual respect, and no put-downs/ give appreciations. I think attentive listening means to listen with your eyes, ears, and heart. I think mutual respect means respect people and their property and school property. I think no put-downs/ give appreciations means give compliments and don't give insults.

I used to think reading was awesome; but now I think reading is the best thing ever because I read some really amazing books this year.
