Cooperation- involves the exchange of something between the partners with each gaining something from the cooperative effort, but not necessarily equal benefits.
Collaboration- combining resources with others in order to produce a “a new value” that equally benefits all the partners.
Consortia – formal structures that pool resources of members to achieve benefit that are, or may be, too costly or at a lower cost than any one member could realize independent.
