1. Include an Icebreaker or meet and greet – Answer each one

Where you are from originally and where you are living now (if they are different)

Any personal bits of information they want to share

Ask specific questions about course:Ie: any training experience

Try a game like Pizza or Jelly Bean

5. Remember who your students are.– Single and Stay-at-home parents– Working part-time or full time– Full time student– So be flexible with due dates

6. Check into your course every weekday.

• Create meaningful discussions• Allow students to discuss topics

without interference• Grade discussions – but not too many• Have students respond to at least one

other student• Have a General Discussion area

9. Check in with students via email.
