4. Southern African Large Telescope

5.1 Square Kilometre Array. It is a radio telescope which collects information over an area of one square kilometre. This SKA will contain 3 000 antennas.

5.2 In the Northern Cape.5.3 Construction start in 2016 and will be completed in 2022.5.4 Will be built at Carnarvon in Northern Cape. Named the MeerKAT

(Karoo Array Telescope). It will contain 80 dishes.
