The three documentaries I will do.

Body shock Out on a limo Sound of the 70’s

The part of the documentary I’m looking at is about the smallest man on earth.

This documentary is about celebrations in a limo and how it has changed over time.

This documentary is about the music of the 70’s it goes back to various singers and bands and researches about them.

Conventions seen in The body shock.

They introduce the story first.What I like about it ? It allows us to have a primary understanding of what is going on.

The title comes later on.What I like about it ? You understand what the title has to do with the documentary

• Voice over.

• Background music to set the mood.

• Archival footage.

Natural lightingWhat I like about it ? it gives you a real and natural feeling of the setting.

Interview with experts.What I like about it ? you can rely on the information you are getting, and also it proves points.

Intervals/ breaksWhat I like about it ? It reminds you the name of the documentary you are watching and keeps you wanting to watch.

Channel 4 Documentaries.

It can be seen that channel 4 documentaries usually begin the same way :

• by introducing the story then having titles

• have intervals the same way

• Uses voice over.

• Looks for experts opinions.

Some interesting topics. What I like about this documentary.

• Goes back in time.• Interviews people that has

been essential at the time.• The change of the music

industry• How music was back then.

• The information you get of olden days.

• How you get to know people you wouldn’t know.

• The topics talked about.

BBC AND CHANNEL 5

as it can be seen documentaries from channel 4 and BBC are both structured differently:

• channel 4 has intervals - BBC doesn’t

• -channel 4 doesn’t use a lot of text input - BBC does

• channel four uses a lot of natural sounds - BBC uses a lot of non diegetic music.
