Social Media

Can we live without it?

Life today has been incredibly molded to use social mediums in order to progress outward into a new dimension of having your voice heard. This has affected every industry in the world as well as every social aspect that we encounter in our normal “off the internet” lives.

It seems as if social media has affected the world so much that it looks impossible to ever live any differently.

We have gone to far to go back now and change what we have done.

Problem?

Social media websites are being abused by people who use them to procrastinate instead of using them to better themselves or their education.

“The world has over a trillion hours of free time a year to use for bettering the world.” – Clay Shirky

Does social-media create anti-social people?

People are so addicted to social media that they would rather sit and look at pictures of someone else’s day on Facebook rather than go out and have their own exciting day.

In reality things like Facebook or even blogging have bettered some of these anti-social people. By regulating these social tools we could be effectively killing the inner nature of these people.

New “cyber-social” culture

By using blogging tools, twitter or any other social media site that fits their needs, these anti-social people are becoming cyber-social.

People will use the Internet in every way they wish and create anything thing they can come up with. Using social media we can create things that can be useful for many or things that can be useful for only the select few involved.

Social media has enabled new ideas that travels from a wide array of somewhat useless information, to amazingly helpful programs with many subcategories in-between.

Should we regulate internet use?

Each part of the Internet has some sort of positive aspect about it and no one should be aloud to regulate how it is used

People have used social media to express themselves and let their voice be heard, it is just the way of nature that people will use it for the ways they wish.

Even without social media people would find ways to waste their lives with meaningless task and activities.
