Sean Pohle (Mike Pohle’s Brother) pays tribute to the school memorial on the 5 year anniversary of his death. He was lost in the Virginia Tech tragedy.

Stewart Field was Mike’s home away from home while playing Lacrosse and Football. When Mike was not at home, he was on the field practicing.

An interview with Jim Meert, Mike’s former football coach at HC. He tells a story of Mike’s football career. When Mike was a sophomore, he scored an amazing touchdown under the guidance of Coach Meert.

Chris Walker, Mike’s former football coach also, is talking to Sean about some good memories of Mike. He tells Sean that Mike was “always optimistic and a hard worker.” Mike was very close as a player and as a person to Mr. Walker.

The Pohle’s Mailbox is covered in flowers sent annually from Virginia Tech. The flowers were grown specifically for the families of the victims. Each year, the families are sent new flowers. They are sent on the day of the tragedy.

Memorial in the Pohle household dedicated to Mike and his accomplishments in life. The West Virginia football was given to Mike from his sister, Nicole Pohle. The picture in the upper left is Mike playing lacrosse at Virginia tech.

Memorial in Sun Ridge park dedicated to Mike. This was provided by the Sun Ridge community. The memorial was dedicated three years ago and was completed in just a few months.

Memorial in Virginia Tech. This picture took place one week after the event happened. The orange flowers to the right are those for Mike. This picture is from the Virginia Tech school website. The whole student body, faculty, and local community were present.
