ADDING AN ANNOTATION TO EASYBIB

Your Annotation should be 150 words or less and include at least four (4) of these elements

Author: Authority, experience, or qualifications of the author. Purpose: Why did the author write this? Scope: Breadth or depth of coverage of the article. ( Is it extensive, long, an overview,

short, concise, to-the-point, brief, etc.) Audience: For whom was it written (general public, subject specialists, students…)? Viewpoint: What is the author’s perspective or approach .Do you detect an

unacknowledged bias, or find any undefended assumptions? Sources: Does the author cite other sources, and if so, what types? Is it based on the

author’s own research? Is it personal opinion? … Conclusion: What does the author conclude. Is the conclusion justified by the work? Features: Any significant extras, e.g. visual aids (charts, maps, etc.) or bibliography Comparison Or Accuracy: How does it relate to other works on the topic: does it

agree or disagree with another author or a particular school of thought; are there other works which would support or dispute it?

Currency: 2 years or less. It is important that health and science information be current Relevance: Does it answer your research question and contain your keywords (natural

language/Google language)

Log onto EasyBib- not sure how? see directions on Lesson 12Select your MPW 2018 project Click on Bibliography Choose the article you want to annotated. You only have to do ONE (1) either your eLibrary science article or your web/Internet articleClick on editClick on + ADD AnnotationUpload you annotation or write it directly into EasyBib Click on update Citation

Select MPW 2018 ProjectClick on Bibliography

Click on edit to add an annotationChoose which source you want to annotate. You only need to annotate

Click on Add Annotation

Add or write your annotation in box Make sure to UPDATE Citation

Make sure to UPDATE Citation

After you update your citation

check to see if the annotation appears

Click on Export

Your are going to Save to Google Docs

To Save to google Docs Click on Allow Access

Your Work Cited will appear in your Google DocsClick on the easybib number and rename your Doc MPW 2018

Enter MPW 2018 in the box and click OK

Add Your name, teacher’s name, section, and date to the rightClick on print icon and print a copy and give it to the librarian or your teacher
