This makes it vital to identify contagious diseases quickly and accurately.
The Universal Biodetection Array can quickly analyze DNA samples from any species.
It identifies the pathogen by its genetic ‘fingerprint’ – even if only a few cells are present
To do this, the UBDA employs state-of-the-art microarray technology, plus a unique and universal set of probes to obtain biosignatures (or “molecular barcodes”) of both the host and the pathogen.
This leads to faster identification of the pathogen, which supports a more effective response to the outbreak.
