• Allocated Rs 200 crore to build the statue of unity, a national project fromthe BJP Manifesto

• Proposed to introduce facility of Electronic Travel Authorisation (e-Visa)in phased manner at nine airports in India

• Proposed to identify countries to which the Electronic Travelauthorisation facility would be extended, in a phased manner

• Allocated Rs 500 crore for developing 5 tourist circuits around specificthemes

• Allocated 100 crore for National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation andSpiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD)

• Proposed to develop Sarnath-Gaya-Varanasi Buddhist circuit with worldclass tourist amenities to attract tourists from all over the world

• Exempted the Indian tour operators from the tax net for servicesprovided to foreign tourists for a tour wholly conducted outside India

• Announced cenvat credit for services of rent-a-cab and tour operators topromote tourism.
