The North Area Partnership Options

The DiplomaA challenging, vocational course designed to prepare students for a career in a specific area of work

• Construction and the Built Environment• Hair and Beauty Studies• Engineering

The DiplomaCombines subject learning (one day per week at another centre) with English, ICT, Mathematics and another subject (all at RGS)

Have to pass all the components to achieve the Diploma

Worth 7 – 7.5 GCSEs at grade A*-C

BTEC DiplomaWhole day courses; the equivalent of four GCSEs A*-C. They will take place all day on a Tuesday during two Option sessions.

BTEC CertificateHalf day courses; the equivalent of two GCSE A*-C. They will take place during Option sessions.
