BAKER'S DELIGHT
FUNDRAISER
(HOT CROSS BUNS)
AND
EASTER RAFFLE
A big thank you to everyone who supported our recent Easter Raffle and Hot Cross
Bun Fundraisers. This support was through the donation of prizes for the raffle, or by the
selling of raffle tickets and collecting orders for the buns.
Because of your efforts, we raised just over $1500 to put
towards equipment for
student use.

St udent Repor t s
First term reports have come home with the children to-day. For those families who have only joined Wyndham Vale Primary School in 2017 please be aware that we re-port to parents four times a year, which may be more of-ten than you are used too.
As a consequence these reports may not be as compre-hensive as you have received previously.
At our school we believe that it is more useful to parents to have reports come home more often with more up to date information rather than a larger report less often.
If you have any questions about this document please make an appointment to see your child?s class teacher.
School Phot os
Advance notice to parents: our school photos for 2017 have been scheduled for Tuesday, May 2. Your child will need correct money on the day ? or credit card details ? if you wish to order copies of these photos. Envelopes for ordering are expected to be sent home on the first day of term 2 and you may return them prior to photo day for safe keeping if you wish. To assist you with your planning, photo packages are around $30 ? depending on what you order.
Parent s and Fr iends Associat ion (PFA)
Our next scheduled meeting of the PFA is Wednesday, April 19, 1:30pm. This is held at the back of the library.
All welcome including preschool
aged children.

Bunnings Barbeque
An extra special thank you to those members of our school
community who gave up a good part of their Saturday to
host the barbeque at Werribee Bunnings this past
weekend: Troy and Tracy Paton, William Haines, Niluka De Silva, Tneale Smith, Gabby
Steward and Jemima McDonald. We were fortunate
to get some great weather, which brought people out
shopping to gather bits and pieces for their gardens and
home renovations.

From t he Ar t Room
What sort of world will our children enter into once they leave school? It will most likely be multicultural,
digital, real and virtual, propelled by images as much as words. It will be
keenly competitive as employers select applicants from around the
world, while employees work collaboratively yet remotely. With
dwindling resources and environmental concerns,
manufacturing will not lead the way. Instead, ideas, innovation
integrated in all areas of life will be necessary to create a viable future.
In a future that needs our full measure of thinking, Art education
is crucial. The skills needed for innovation; problem solving,
planning, creating, critical thinking, evaluating, resiliency, risk taking,
communicating, self-directing and collaborating, are the basis of Art
Education.
Before and Af t er School Child Care

A reminder that you do not need to have a permanent booking to use this service ? but you do need to have enrolled your child? . Then you can ring up and have your son or daughter cared for on days when you may be run-ning late. Go to their website http://bigchildcare.com/ for further information.
