Top 10 Entries based on judges’ decision advance to the finals

1-3 p.m. – Finalist presentations – all Step Up participants may vote – but you may not vote for your own project

Step Up Finals

Finalists will have five (5) minutes to present their issue and their implemented project on stage before the judges and all other Step Up participants.

All Step Up participants will vote for their top three projects. You may not vote for your own project. Only teens entered in Step Up may vote. No parents or friends may vote.

The Step Up youth vote will count as one judge.

Note: If you are using a PowerPoint presentation or anything else that requires a computer for display, please load your material on a flash drive.

Presentations will be judged on:

Depth of issue analysis Quality of the solution Effectiveness of implementation Originality (in issue selection and treatment) Thoroughness of preparation

Prizes & Recognition

Note: Team members must share the cash prizes.Prize money is provided via Loudoun Youth, Inc.

1st Place: $1000 (plus presentation of Step Up project at YouthFest 2011)

2nd Place: $500

3rd Place: $250Other awards and recognition will also be presented.
