From the Principal
What a great day we had at our
Annual Mini Mudda and Bass Coast
Children’s Expo. The children all
had a wonderful time and the
‘food and expo court’ had a
fantastic community feel. It really is
a wonderful community event!
There are so many people behind
the scenes that work for months to
ensure that the day goes without a hitch. Bibi Sago, Caroline Moore and
Andrea Phillips have literally lived and
breathed Mini Mudda for 6 months
and this event simply wouldn’t
happen without them. Our Parents and Friends, led by Jane Miles
worked so hard to cover the catering
and did an amazing job. Were you
lucky enough to enjoy one of their amazing
hamburgers?
There are countless people who should be recognised, including sponsors,
organisers, helpers, staff and our local business that made donations
towards our raffle. Please check out our Facebook page for
acknowledgments and thanks to all.
2020 Plans are well and truly underway. At this stage I can tell you that we
will have some staffing changes. Mr Hally who has served our school as
Assistant Principal for 15 years will be stepping into different roles next year.
Recently, we interviewed and selected a new Assistant Principal. Tom
Burdekin will be joining us from the beginning of 2020.
In other staff news, Alanna Besley will be
taking a year out of WPS and we wish her
well on her adventures! Emily Zammit
(Azzopardi) and Ashleigh Jordan are both
heading into the wonderful world of first
time parenthood.
Our Step into Prep program is underway! It has been wonderful to spend
time getting to know our new students and their families. Thank you to Na-
talie Owens and Chris Blundell for making them feel so welcome.
On Tuesday night we held a parent information session: Helping your Child
Manage Stress, Anxiety and Worry. This was an informative and valuable
session. Calm Kid Central also offer online resources and support for
children and families. If you would like free access, please check out the
brochure inside the newsletter for more details.

&ARN'S ()D F*I),S What a beautiful day Mini Mudda turned out to be and even though the wind was chilly there was plenty of hot food to
warm you up again! We couldn’t have run our food stall so efficiently without the parents who gave their time to help
out. Thank you to Mark Ibrhaim who was solid gold on the bbq!
A massive thank you to Connell’s Bakery, Bakers Delight and Woolworths who all generously donated loaves of bread
and rolls, Inverloch Butcher who cut us a deal on sausages and meat, Thanh Churchill for her delicious homemade
spring rolls and all the local businesses who donated toward our raffle. A big shout out to Emma Burness and Nadia
Hicks for coordinating the most delightful looking cake stall and to all the baking Queens and Kings who made delicious
sweet treats.
Our Local community went above and beyond to support our school and we “Thank You All”.
Cheers,
Parents and Friends
