It’shard tobelieve that ithas affected so many of us the past few weeks withcancellationof school, theTuesday Luncheon,Women’sGuildTuesdaybake, aswell aspostal service for twodays. I donotrememberiteverbeingthiscoldforsolong.WejustturnedthecalendarpagetoMarch.Remember,“Marchcomesinlikealionandgoesoutlikealamb.”AfewmoreweeksofthiscoldweatherandIprayitwillwarmupverysoon.IambeingoptimisticalongwiththestoresIfrequentduringtheweek.Theyalreadyhavethepottingsoil,thebigpots,alongwiththePreenandgrassfertilizersreadyforyoutopurchase.EventhebluejaysandtheredcardinalshavecometovisitasIlookoutmykitchenwindow.Perhapstheyknowsomethingtoo.Springiscomingsoon!Withoptimismcomesrenewedenergy.MyhopeistoreenergizeeachofyoutogetinvolvedwithyourGuild.We have somany old and new activities for you to become a part of. Consider joining us forSaintlyWomen’sDayMarch23rd.Aspecialone-womanplaywilldepictthelifeofJesusthroughtheeyesofhismother,Mary.Takeanhouroutofyourday tocelebrateEasterat theManoogianManorApril27th.Becharitablewithyourtimeandmakeadifferenceintheirlives.Noneofuswantstobeforgotten.Beforeyouknowit, Junewillbeuponus.WhenI thinkof June, I thinkoftheMembershipDinner.Somanyofourmemberslookforwardtothatdaywhenwehonorthoseachievingtheirmilestones.Wearescheduled for June5th andare still inneedof a chair and committee.Consider co-chairing this eventwithafriend.In July,weareventuringout intonewterritorywithanovernight trip toGrandRapids tovisitMeijerGardenandtheGeraldR.FordPresidentialLibraryandMuseum.Markyourcalendars for July19and20th!AugustbringsustotheChurchPicnicAugust11th.AsaGuild,wesupportthechurchbymanningthehotfoodstentandbyrunningabakesale.Again,volunteersandchairsareneededfortheChurchPicnic.Yes, I am optimistic because I know thatwe belong to a 51-year-old organization that is part of thebackboneof theChurchandthatourmembersarededicated, thoughtfulandcommittedtomakingadifference.PleasestepforwardtotakeanactiveroleinyourGuild.Wearestrongertogether.

AVisitfromFr.NorayrKazazianThe Executive Board was graced with a surprise visit from Hayr NorayrKazazianwhojoinedusforourmeetingonFebruary20.Fr. Norayr was born and raised in Lebanon. At 12 years old, he went toJerusalemandattendedtheseminary.AfterbeingordainedVartabed,hewasmade principal of Sts. Tarkmanchatz Armenian School of Jerusalem and theGulbenkianLibaray.Atthatpoint,HayrNorayrsoughtthehelpofaneducatorto serve as a consultant while he ran the school.
