Monitor “Mirroring” to project image

Once you have made the cable connections.In order to project your presentationyou need to enable video mirroring on your Laptop

This is usually done with a Function key combination

For Compaq’s it is Fn + F3For IBM’s it is Fn + F7

It is different on almost every type of laptop, look for the function key with two monitor symbols

Using The Remote Mouse 1

Easiest to use with presentation like PowerPoint or HyperStudio (single click software)

Difficult to use with MS Word or Netscape

Takes a couple of hours of use, till it feels comfortable to use and present.

Using The Remote Mouse 2

Remote Control Functions 1

Mute control: mutes audio (not used much)

Power control: On/Off control (fan keeps running)

Black Screen Button: Shows a black screen to hide or pause your presentation

Right Click Button: Right mouse click. Brings up shortcut menu.

Input selector: Usually you will use Data 1 Note: 2 Inputs, 2 laptops? Think about it.

Input Check: Tells you what Input you are viewing Data 1, Data 2, Video 1, or Video 2

Mouse/Adjust Switch: selects which mode remote is in Mouse for PresentationsAdjust for setting up the projector

Remote Control Functions 2

Volume Control: Controls Audio (not used much,see special use)

Laser pointer/ Menu: When Mouse Adjust switch is in Mouse mode controls laser pointer. When Mouse Adjust switch is in Adjust mode controlsset up menu for projector

Mouse Control: Moves cursor on screen

Light Switch: lights up buttons on Remote for dark presentation rooms

Advanced Uses

Data 1, Data 2 , Data Out, Video 1, Video 2

What is all this stuff? I just want to do my PowerPoint presentation! All these cable

connections are just confusing.

They are pretty confusing, the more presentations you do, the more comfortable you will be using the projector.

All the Inputs (cable connections) will allow to do more with your presentation.

Data Connections

The 2 Data Inputs : Allows you to connect two Laptops to the projector at the same time and switch back and forth, by pressing one button on the remote. (PC and or Macintosh)

Data Output connection:Allows you to output the what the projector is shown to a computer monitor or a scan converter (TV compatible output)

Allows you to connect two Video (and audio)signals to the projector at the same time and switch back and forth, by pressing one button on the remote.
