Under the direction of Professor Raymond J. Mullins, director of such past

"comic, but sometimes melancholy", story concerns a simple. innocent girl who goes
to the big city to find her way.
Mary ~roline Ross. who had the lead role of Luisa in last year's production
of "The Fantasticks". is cast as Beebee. As the play progresses. Beebee soon
finds that she is unable to cope with the people. situations and life in the city.
During the play, the scene shifts from her apartment, to her home and back
to the apartment, In their home, her mother and two sisters sit like the three

remain, even though she may never admit it.
The New York Herald Tribune attributed to the play "A freshness of spirit,
'-....- an affectionate insight and a sense of the human comedy." Commonweal says of
it. "Full of clear austained feeling--an acute sense of what it means to be
alive today."
