That is why Barack Obama carried Indiana.

In Marion County alone, 58,086 more people turned out to vote in 2008 than did in 2004.

In 1984, Indiana’s 8th Congressional District, Democrat, Frank McCloskey beat Republican, Richard D. McIntyre by just 4 votes!

In 2007, the Democrats lost the majority on the City-County Council by 887 votes.
