WHAT IS HONOR SOCIETY?Honor Society is a volunteer club dedicated to serving

the community. The pillars of Honor Society arecharacter, service, leadership, and scholarship.

Through National Honor Society, students serve theschool and community and develop strong characterstrengths that they will carry on beyond their highschool careers. See below on how to get involved.

This year, we will be using OneNote as our primary source ofinformation. If you are a member, you should have been

added to the NHS OneNote page. If you do not have access,please email us right away.

Important notes: Freshmen cannot be inducted. Weencourage freshmen to fill out the application form,however only sophomores and older are able to be

inducted. 

This year, hours will be reduced to 24 hours for thewhole year. No middle school hours are required.

Ten hours will be due at the end of the firstsemester.

To be eligible for the gold cord award (given out atthe end of senior year), students in the class of2024 and on must be members of NHS for three

consecutive years. There will be no dues in the 2020 school year.

Members must maintain a 3.5 GPA and obtain 24 hours ofservice (4 chapter sponsored hours, meaning in-school

events, and 20 other hours in the community).
