What could we do with £10,000 worth of books?

If we all work together, we could win…

Where does reading take you?

Do you imagine yourself in another place?

Do you picture yourself being in the story?

Do you visit a made up world?

You need to create a window picture to show the world where

reading takes you…

Maybe you are a guest at The Scarecrows

Wedding?

Or helping George create a medicine for grandma?

Or sharing a trench with Charlie and Tommo?

Does reading take you to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate

Factory?

Or to the Hogwarts Great Hall?

Or does it transport you to Narnia?

Tips for success…

1. EVERYONE take part (children, remind your teachers to do one too!)

2. Make sure it shows where reading takes you.3. Make it colourful – don’t leave white, blank

spaces. You can use pencil, pen, crayon, paint, glitter…

4. Challenge yourself – can you create something to go alongside your picture. Maybe a poem to explain it? A 3D model of where reading takes you? A story about where reading takes you?
