President’s Report
As we head towards our Ashes competition at Treehaven on July 8th and the WDC
AGM to held on July 19th at 8PM at the Tanti in Mornington, I cannot believe how
quickly the time has passed. The committee has endeavored to run a variety of clin-
ics for the members as well as three competitions and the Christmas party. We have
tried to present a friendly atmosphere and we welcome member feedback and sug-
gestions as we are running the club for you. Some committee members have decided
to leave us at the AGM, so again we will welcome more new blood to take us for-
ward for the next year. I have enjoyed working with our committee, the enthusiasm
and work of you all makes for a great club. I will be away from 25th June to 17th July
but will look forward to seeing a good turnout at the AGM. Join us for dinner be-
forehand.
The club has some great sponsors and I have recently used David from The Hay
Shed at Warneit to source some beautiful hay. David delivers and nothing is to0
much trouble for him.
Keep warm and happy riding.
Caroline

Total animal supplies product of the month:
The coolabah GG 600 denier combo rug made by the saddlery trading company.
Raquel - Total animal supplies and 'super groove' (professional rug' trialer')
This rug has been hugely popular this season, prompting me to trial the the GG per-
sonally on my guy and I must say- I was impressed!
The most outstanding qualities of this rug would have to be the generous uninter-
rupted drop, huge high set shoulder gussets, and awesome tent tail flap.
At first glance the GG coolabah looks like any other synthetic combo, though on
closer inspection it is the small details that sets it apart from similar priced popular
brand rugs. My favorite and most mentionable aspect is the brilliant design to incor-
porate the cross over surcingle behind the drop of the rug rather than over it. This
uninterrupted drop helps prevent a draft blowing up underneath the horse and allow-
ing rain to run straight off the sides. I also love the idea of the overlapping front on
the rug across the chest (large velcro panel then double straps) also preventing
drafts.
Over all the fit of the rug is excellent ,having no centre seam and a contoured back
with quilted cotton lining and 220g fill. Incorporated are well placed large shoulder
gussets and a big tent tail flap. The neck piece is of ample length and again cut well
with a Sherpa edge to protect the back of the ears. And one more nifty features is the
the leg straps with clips on both ends to allow hassle free removal for repair or re-
placement.
I was so happy with the GG coolabah that is now my number one paddock rug. The
rug barely moved an inch and did not slip back behind the wither even after being
given a more than vigorous work out by my horse. Well done GG.
The saddlery trading company's GG coolabah 600 denier combo is currently on sale
at Total animal supplies for $149.95
This is a new section to our newsletter. Enjoy
each month as Raquel test runs products for us. A great read.
