Historical Background• The Institute of Technology and Vocational Education

(ITVE) was founded on 27 February 1975 as a department under the Ministry of Education

• His Majesty the King has renamed the institute. Rajamangala Institute of Technology (RIT) was granted on 15 September 1988

• The institute had gained high recognition for its educational quality for over 30 years.

• RIT with its nation wide campuses became 9 Rajamangala Universities of Technology on 18 January 2005

• Original main campus was renamed Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT).

• Established  in  1975  with  its  former  name  was as “The Faculty of Engineering Technology”.

• Consists of 10 academic departments offering

– Bachelor  Degree in Engineering (B.Eng.) – Master Degree in Engineering (M. Eng.)

• Three advanced research and training centers aiming at  providing  up–to–date knowledge for both students and industries.
