The gift of the magi

A love story that tells of a generous

love...

“The magi, as you know, were wise men--wonderfully wise men--who brought gifts to the Babe (Jesus) in the manger... Of all who give and receive gifts, such as they are wisest. Everywhere they are wisest. They are the magi.”

Being generousEstablishing friendships...

Or letting people take advantage of you?

Givers = suckers?GIVERS generally tend to be happy-go-lucky

people who think nothing about giving of themselves to those who might be in need.

Givers usually do not lack company or friends

Being generous isn’t only about money...

THE dead seaLocation:Between Israel & Jordan

Facts:It is some of the saltiest water anywhere in the world, almost six times as salty as the ocean!

The Dead Sea is continually fed water from the rivers and streams coming down off the mountains that surround it.

THE dead seaOther facts:

The largest "Natural Spa" in the world.

A mini-universe with its own unique micro-climate.

An average of 330 full days of sunshine per year.

Everybody can float in its waters.

Its thermo-mineral springs have been praised for millennia.

Famous for its black mineral black mud.

The water in the Dead Sea is deadly to living things. Fish accidentally swimming into the waters from one of the several freshwater streams that feed the Sea are killed instantly, their bodies quickly coated with a preserving layer of salt crystals and then tossed onto shore by the wind and waves.

No rivers drain out of the dead sea!

SEA OF GALILEEFacts:

It has the same source as the Dead Sea, namely, the Jordan River. The difference is that the Sea of Galilee has both an inlet as well as an outlet!

SEA OF GALILEEOther facts:

Around the entire lake runs a beach.

The lake has a rich fish life and many birds live around it.

Economical activity to the lake is restricted to fishing.

The Sea of Galilee provides Israel with half of all its supplies of fresh water.

The main city near the lake is Tiberius.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
