substantially reporting states and the statistical analysis to build the predictive model to estimate total damages for the U.S. for 2015 to 2017.

Why are estimates higher than before?

• The increased estimates for 2015 and 2016 are the result of two key factors:

– A more sophisticated modeling approach that is better suited to the type of data contained in the DIRT database.

– A refined approach to defining substantially reporting states.
