WALT: use adjectives to describe.

Have a look at your dream home design from yesterday. Talk to your grown up

about what it is like.

It has a sparkling swimming pool.

Here are some examples of descriptive sentences. The adjectives are in red. Ask your grown up to read the sentence to you or have a go yourself, and you repeat it back. Tell your grown up which word is the adjective. Turn to the next slides and find the adjectives.

There is a steep climbing wall.

My house is in the beautifulturquoise ocean.

My house is surrounded by bright green grass .

My wooden house is hidden in the leafy trees.

My small, cosy house is surrounded by beautiful scenery.

When I leave my house, I can feel the soft, golden sand between my toes.

This magnificent hotel has been carved from freezing cold ice and snow.

I could almost eat the delicious, sweet gingerbread walls.

What I’m looking for.

• Use adjectives to describe each part of your house.

• Use a capital letter at the beginning of your sentence.

• Use a full stop at the end of your sentence.

My Dream HouseMy dream house is truly amazing! It has an enormous

swimming pool that shimmers in the sunlight. The pool has a fun slide and some relaxing chairs around the

outside. My house is gigantic. Inside it has seven giant bedrooms and a room filled with excellent toys and games. When I leave my house, I can feel the soft,golden sand in between in toes. It even has a mini

cinema. Wow! Would you like to come and visit me in my house?
