Since 1993, Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) has presented a lecture series in honor of the late author, teacher and environmental activist Wallace Stegner. Designed to educate and inspire, the series explores important issues about land, nature and sustainability. As we celebrate 20 years of bringing distinguished speakers to the Peninsula, we also celebrate Wallace Stegner’s far-reaching influence and timeless legacy of conserving the West’s wild places.
Become a Lecture SponsorYour sponsorship of POST’s Wallace Stegner Lecture Series provides you with
exposure to an audience of highly educated, affluent individuals with deep ties
to the communities of the Peninsula and South Bay. Many of these individuals
are supporters of POST, a leader in local land conservation since our founding
in 1977.
The lectures help POST connect with the public at large in the centrally
located, 630-seat MainStage of The Mountain View Center for the Performing
Arts. Sponsorship gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of charitable gift
rules.
Founding Series SponsorsThe late Ambassador Bill Lane and his wife, Jean,
helped establish this series, and we are deeply
grateful to Jean, whose support continues as a
tribute to Bill.
Our MissionPOST is a private, non-profit land trust whose
mission is to protect and care for open space, farms
and parkland in and around Silicon Valley.
