Back Log, Inventory, Floor Display, End Cap and Business Etiquette

BACK LOG Booked, but unshipped customer orders.

This could be described as the number of products still to be delivered,

produced, issued, etc., for which the planned or agreed date has expired.

INVENTORY

Detailed list of all items in stock. The exact amount of merchandise a shop

has on hand.

FLOOR DISPLAY

A freestanding rack used to display goods. These are very versatile and can be used to

display many different types of products

END CAP

This is the hub at the end of an isle used to display products. This area is known in retail as a “hot spot” for displaying goods, because it can be seen from many different areas of the store. The end cap usually contains items with a high profit margin such as seasonal products

BUSINESS ETIQUETTE

An unwritten code that influences expectations and behavior in the workplace. These include social

guidelines and manners to be followed in a business situation when dealing

with others.
