Key presenter for the Virtual CBRNE Conference and Exhibition. I discussed the following: “Fight as you train and train as you would fight” What does it mean to be prepared and how to prepare law enforcement officers and the challenges of funding and scheduling for training time off. Funding for training available by Contractors, FEMA, DHS, as well as the importance of PPE training. Other presentations include a virtual Brief from key members of the US Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). As part of the Whitehouse announcement on its new preparedness strategy for CBRNe threats OSTP, in collaboration with the Departments of Homeland Security and Commerce, have just released the National Strategy for CBRNe Standards, which describes the Federal vision and goals for the coordination, prioritization, establishment, and implementation of CBRNe equipment standards by 2020.
