Task 1 Find information to understand how website functionsbefore logging in.
Task 2
- Google Hangouts was promising but not findable, intuitive or
functional. It promised the world but delivered… nothing.
- Watch2Gether was findable but lacked functionality that it
promised such as video chat.
Log in, choose a YouTube video, invite a friend and watch
the video together over video chat.

A prototype was presented to a total of four users and presented with two tasks
Task 1
You would like to understand how Viewify functions before logging in.
Task 2
You would like to watch Tina Fey on The Late Show with your friend Cynthia, who you
are friends with on Facebook.
Invite Cynthia to watch with you and view the video together.

FINDINGS & SUMMARY
Suggestions from user testing
1. Change YouTube image in information overlay to an image that does not
have a call to action symbol.
2. Revise wording for information overlay
3. Enable users to browse YouTube videos and invitefriends to watch without forcing Facebook sign in at
beginning
4. Change ‘DONE’ button to appear less like a banner and
consider changing colour scheme
5. Change position of ‘DONE’ button to appear at bottom of
friend list

• Did not have time to build responsive all way through oncomputer
• Ability to browse YouTube videos and share URL without
requiring Facebook/Social Media sign in
• Ability to invite someone to watch a video at a future date
