This is GINO CENEDESE’s historical collection, including

vases, plates, centrepieces, animals and lamps made

using an extremely particular technique known as “ve-

tro scavo” (where scavo reminds us of an archaeolo-

gical site).

The technique

During the working process, the transparent or colou-

red glass takes on an ancient look typical of the “ve-

tro scavo”. This is obtained thanks to the use of salts

and oxides which, spread over the surface of each

product, react at the high temperatures at which the

objects are processed, thus making them look like ar-

chaeological findings.

After the necessary tempering phase (about 24 hrs),

the objects undergo the finishing grinding phase.

CENEDESE che comprende vasi, piatti, centro tavola,

animali e lampade realizzati attraverso l’uso di una

tecnica molto particolare, quella del “vetro scavo”.

Tecnica di lavorazione

In fase di realizzazione, il vetro trasparente o colorato

assume un aspetto anticato che è tipico del “vetro

scavo”; ciò avviene grazie all’utilizzo di sali e ossidi che,

cosparsi sulla superficie di ogni prodotto, reagiscono

alle alte temperature a cui gli oggetti vengono ulterior-

mente sottoposti dopo la lavorazione rendendoli simili

a reperti archeologici.

Dopo la necessaria fase di tempera (24 ore circa), gli

oggetti vengono rifiniti in moleria.
