Callforapplica>ons.Thesearecourseswithtutors,inwhichapplicaGonstoparGcipatearesGllbeingaccepted.TheselecGonprocessisguidedbyPAHO’stechnicalcooperaGoncriteriaandtheparGcipantprofilethathasbeendeterminedforthecourse.CoursecoordinatorsmakeeffortstoensureparGcipaGonbyalleligiblecountries.

Courseswithtutoring.CoursesthatincludeinteracGonwithtutorsandtheotherparGcipants.Generally,thesecourserequirespecificGmecommitments(usually8to10hoursperweek)

Whenyouareonanycoursepage(assignment,forum,grades,file,etc.),youcanreturntothemainpageofthecoursebyclickingontheshortnameinthenavigaGonroute,asindicatedinredintheimage.

BlocksBlocks are grey and canbe found in columns at the le5- and right-hand sideof courses. Theyoffer different opGons. Below and on the next page we present a descripGon of the mostcommonblocksinMoodle.

TheAdministra>onblockissensiGvetoboththecontextandtheuser'srole.Thismeansthatthecontentsoftheblockchangeaccordingtowhereyouare:theclassroomhomepage,coursemainpage,assignment,forum,etc.Similarly,theopGonswillbedifferentforcoordinators,tutors,andstudents.InthepictureweseetheAdministraGonblockasitappearsonthemainpageofacourseforstudents.

Someblockscanbemovedtothesideofthescreen,usingthe“Dock”icon.

Thecontentsoftheblockcanbehidden,usingthe“-”icon.Toshowthecontentsagainclickonthe“+”icon.

ThePeopleblockhasalinktoapagewithalistofallcourseparGcipants(students,tutors,coordinators),withtheirnames,picturesandothergeneralinformaGon.

TheCommentsblockallowsyoutopostcommentsnotonlyonthemainpageofthecourse,butanywheretheblockhasbeenadded.Thisallowsstudentstoexpresstheiropiniononanyelementofthecourse.

TheOnlineusersblockallowsparGcipantstoviewonlineuserseitherinthecourseorintheclassroom,dependingonthepagewhereyouareatthatmoment.

TheAc>vi>esblockallowsaccesstoallcourseacGviGes.Forexample,ifyouclickon“Forums”,youcanaccessalltheforumsinthecourse.

TheMessagesblockdisplaysthelistofpendingmessagestobereadandalsotheuserthatpostedthem.
